Bharani’s ‘Mithunam’ Has Been Recommended For Oscars

Tanikella Bharani who started his career as an Indian film actor, dialogue writer, screen writer, poet, theater actor, playwright, Magazine Editor and director predominant in Telugu cinema worked in more than 500 films incuding Tamil, Kannada and Hindi. He has accumulated three Andhra Pradesh State Nandi Awards.

He is in the news today for his directed Telugu Drama film ‘Mithunam(2012)’ which features S.P.Balasubrahmanyam and Lakshmi. The film is based on a best selling Telugu novel of the same name, written by Sri Ramana. Bharani received CineMAA Award Special Jury Award for Best Direction.

‘Mithunam’ has been recommended for Oscars by the Telugu producers council Hyderabad with the reference given by film federation of India Mumbai under Best Foreign Language Film Award.
