Plot : An eerie Simian Virus spreads across the world which leads to virtual human extinction. On the other hand, Caesar (Andy seriks) and other apes lives in the forest peacifully. The apes doesn’t come across a human in decade. One day some human survivors lead by malcolm (Jason Clarke) steps into the territory of apes.Caser orders them to leave their territory.Human survivors lives in a dilapidated tower without electricity. Malcolm (Jason Clarke )goes back to the woods to ask the favour of caser to access the defunct hydro electricity dam which is in apes territory. Caser permits humans to access it on certain conditions that causes a rift between Caser and Koba (Toby kebell) who wants to take revenge on humans. Koba shoots caser in the chest clandestinely.What happened next forms the crux of the story.

Director Matt Reeves sustains a fine dramatic balance with the plot and scenes. He adeptly handles the major action scene and the close and personal emotional moments with equal dedication. Visual effects are a treat to watch. Editing is good. Cinematographer has done a brilliant job. Background score is the soul of the film. Production values are amazing.

Andy Serk is as the mature Caesar with his piercing stares and somber disposition as the leader of his tribe and Toby Kebbell as Koba, the sharp fanged dramatic ally evil human hating ape give the most intense and engaging performance in a non-human role. Jason clarke’s performance is good. The supporting cast has done a fair job.

The  apes action packed face-off, along with their subtle sign language that is aptly interpreted by the sub-titles is the highlight of the film. Miss this film at your own risk.
