Oh ya! I call this day ( 12th december ) as Rajnikanth day. 64 years ago, The man who create waves in indian cinema born on this day. Over the years, The Indian super star Rajinikanth has become demi god to his fans. He is the film star who look like us, talk like us and behave like us.The man is a phenomenon, a humble giant, whose appeal can’t be restricted to certain areas. His charisma has been accumulating day by day but his simplicity is constant. That’s why his fans treat him like a demi-god. Even the celebrities extoll him as his fans. King khan, Shahrukh khan has specially dedicated a song ‘Lungi dance’ to Rajinikanth. Tollywood hunk Prabhas has done an item number on Thalivar. Like King khan and Prabhas, There are so many celebrities are in the list of thalivar fans.

A few people make fun of Rajinikanth off screen appearance but he doesn’t mind all those words.All this happens when people haven’t seen many of Rajinikanth’s films. His earlier south indian films are almost unknown to his North Indian fans. The Hindi speaking audience know Rajinikanth via films like ‘Andha Kanoon’, ‘Hum’, ‘Geraftaar’ and ‘Chaalbaaz’. He has done 28 films in Hindi and those films didn’t create waves when they were first released, but now they have turned into ‘solid’ entertainers. Rajini’s dialogue ‘Aaj Sunday hai, din mein daaru peene ka din hai,’ from ‘Chaalbaaz’ is a cool hangout line for youngsters. Every smoker tries to catch cigarette at least once in his life as Rajinikanth. Now, even his common moves are seen as style statements by many.

It’s like festival for fans when this humble man’s film hit the screens. Today Lingaa is hitting screens and it’s like Double treat for fans. Like me, Every one is eagerly waiting to hear the new box office records of thalivar. I wish him all the successful life and prosperity.
