Thriller is one of the rare genres we come across in indian cinema. Anushka sharma teamed up with Manorama Six feet under director, Navdeep singh for this rare genre. Let’s go into the review to know how NH10 is doing at the box office.
Meera (Anushka Sharma) and Arjun (Neil Bhoopalam) is a happily married couple in Gurgaon. The couple is always busy with their professional lives. Arjun wants to take his wife on a romantic vacation on her birthday. While they heading to city outskirts, They come across a bunch of vicious persons, who tried to kill a couple. In an attempt to save the couple, Arjun gets humiliated a baddie ( Darshan kumar). Hot headed Arjun wants to settle the score, but in no time he reliases those baddies are bunch of brutal murderes. The killers also try to kill Arjun and Meera. Will Meera and Arjun escape from killers? How they cope up with an unexpected diaster? forms the crux of the story.
Navdeep Singh has created a perfect ambience for what a thriller film needs. He kept the viewers on engaging mode with his gripping screenplay. The man at the helm has highlighted a few social issues like woman safety, honor killings, Chauvinisim and rural police negligence in his riveting thriller. Though director take time to establish the characters it is needed to the script. It is quite hard to see too much gory, but we have to admit the facts. Editor has used his scissors very well. Back ground score and Sound mixing is one of the plus points to the film. Cinematography is superb. Production values are nice.
It is good to see damsel Anushka sharma in this kind of roles. She emoted oodles of emotions with ease. There is no exaggeration if we call NH10 as one woman show. She may bag a few accolades for his performance. Neil Bhooplam has supported very well. Darshan kumar looked so vicious, He lived in that character. I felt like i want to punch him in the face. That kind of performance he delivered as a baddie. Deepti Naval appeared for a few minutes still she made her mark. Rest of the cast is alright in their respective roles.
On the whole, NH10 is one of the rare genres we witness in indian cinema. It has the shades of hollywood movies, ‘I spit on your grave’ but both are unique in their own way. Business wise, NH10 will do a great business. We recommend you to watch this movie.
