Manchu Manoj who did not have single hit came as POTUGADU at Box-office. It is a remake of Kannada hit movie “Govindaya Namaha”. Pawan Wadeyar who directed the original movie had directed this film. Lagadapati sreedar produced it. Let us move into the review
Govind ( Manoj ) wants to commit suicide for his mistakes in life and there he meets a man (Posani Krishna Murali ) who additionally need to commit suicide for his love failure. They’ve exchanged their respective love stories. Govind, a brahmin guy loves Vaidehi ( Simran Kaur Mundi ), a brahmin girl, Mumtaz ( Sakshi Chowdary) , a Muslim lady and Stary ( Rachel ), a foreigner and dumps them all. At last he meets Mary (Anu Priya Goenka) and she dumps him. The rest of the story is all about how he realizes the genuine love and who can be his partner.
Manchu Manoj as Govind did a good performance however his over action must be controlled. His dialogue modulation just isn’t dangerous whereas his body language is ideal. Leading ladies are not so bad however Sakshi chowdary seems to be smart impressed. Posani krishna murali is just right. The rest of the characters did their very best.
The First half of the film is passable where as Second half dragged so much. This film is an authentic remake of Kannada film Govindaya Namaha is successful there and not using a well established hero. Issues exchange in Telugu cinema that Manchu Manoj is a notable hero and target audience expect something from his pictures however the director took Manoj as debut hero and he dragged along with his headache story line which used to be flat and didn’t provoke at all. That is the movie which will have to accomplish by using the debut hero but now not an awesome hero. Overall it failed as a result of expectation and execution.
Direction by means of Pawan Wadeyar is not bad however his story telling will not impress the Telugu audience. Cinematography by Srikanth Naroj isn’t upto the mark however he canned the Bujji pilla song very good. Music by achu is good especially Pyar mein Padipoyane tune is simply too good. Production values by Ramalakshmi cine creations are just right.
Watch it if you don’t have any option
