Dhanush, Who earned national star image with ‘Raanjhaana’ attacks the Telugu cinema box office with Raghuvaran Btech. Cinematographer turned Director Velraj, Made his directorial debut with this movie. Let’s get into the review.
Raghuvaran ( Dhanush) is a jobless engineering graduate, who wants to work in his preferred space. He is chided by her father (Samuthirakani) for being a loser while his younger brother earns well. Raghuvaran falls in love with her neighbour, Shalini ( Amala Paul). One day Raghuvaran gets an offer from a construction company. There, He cope with some many issues. What are those issues? How Raghuvaran gets job? Are main parts of the story.
Director Velraj has made his directorial debut with a predictable story, which has all the emotions in a right mix. The first half is all about the dreary days of the protagonist and the latter half tells us how he cope with the issues in his job. Editor has used his scissors very well. Cinematography by velraj is great. Music composed by Anirudh is nice and catchy. Production values are good.
This is a cake walk role for Dhanush which he comfortably pulls off. His dialogue delivery, mannerism and look are so natural in this film. Amala paul didn’t get a big role, but she acts well in a minimal role. Samuthirakani did a great job, his conversation with Dhanush is awesome. Saranya steals the show with her natural performance. Vivek tickles the funny bone. The supporting have done a decent job.
Despite rather a predictable story velraj narrative style makes you can’t take eyes off screen. Natural performances by the lead cast is bonus. We recommend every youth must watch this film.
