San Andreas Review: Gripping Edge of Seat Thriller

San Andreas is an disaster journey directed by Brad Peyton, Produced by Beau Flynn, Hiram Garcia & Tripp Vinson. Screenplay by Carlton Cuse & Story by Andre Fabrizio Jeremy Passmore. Starring Dwayne Johnson, Carla Gugino, Alexandra Daddario, Ioan Gruffudd, Archie Panjabi, Paul Giamatti. Music by Andrew Lockington, Cinematography Steve Yedlin, Edited by Bob Ducsay & Production company New Line Cinema.

Plot: The plot is about Rock as a rescue pilot Ray who must save his wife Emma(Carla) and his daughter Blake(Alexandria) who is abandoned by her no-good step father. Blake is joined by British. design engineer Ben and his little bro Ollie who come to her rescue. How Ray rescues all is the rest of the story.

Plus:Top Notch performances from Lead roles,Mind blowing CGI effects,Very well written Screenplay,Story & Dialogues, Awesome Direction.

Minus : Similar template like 2012 & Day After Tomorrow.

Bottom-Line: While I always thought Dwayne Johnson (The Rock!) had potential as an actor, I thought his career choices have been pretty dismal since he left the world of wrestling. If you want a movie with plenty of tension and spectacular effects but still a happy ever after ending then this is for you. If you’ve seen 2012 and enjoyed it like i did, you will enjoy this movie too although the characters in both movies are bit too similar that sometimes it’s quite frankly annoying. The 3D was not great or good by any standard, but one long take in the movie was pretty awesome though.
