Reportedly, the actress arrived at Rajkot airport and left for Gondal on February 25 where she was to stay at the Royal Orchard Palace for the shooting along with Salman Khan and Anupam Kher. “She had been having a fever since after the day she came in and is admitted to a city-based hospital today.
Meanwhile there is no ruckus on the film set and no-one else has shown any symptoms so far and shooting has resumed in the palace premises,” said a source. Sonam would often dose off on the sets in between shoot suggesting that she had been keeping unwell for a while. On February 28, Sonam was taken to sterling Hospital in Rajkot where she was tested H1N1 positive. “She had been admitted to the hospital at around 10 am on Saturday. Dr Chirag Matravadiya, examined her. As the patient had symptoms of cold, fever etc, the doctor recommended her swine flu test. The lab tests came positive for H1N1virus in the evening,” admitted a spokesperson from the hospital.
“Right now, she is being treated in an intensive care unit in isolation ward of our hospital. Doctors treating her are saying that her condition is stable,” he added.
Apparently, arrangements have been made to shift her to Mumbai through an air ambulance and it is likely that she has already left Rajkot. She is to be shifted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani hospital in Mumbai. Meanwhile, shooting for Prem Ratan Dhan Payo has already resumed back in Rajkot.
Sonam’s physical trainer has also tested positive for the virus.
We hope Sonam recovers soon!
