cinemababu Not on level of Harrypotter series but a pretty solid foundation movie for the series
Comparing this to Harry potter series because not only its written by JK Rowling and directed but by David yates but it takes same universe of Harry potter.
Harrypotter series characters are much more compelling,fun and a lot of good drama from first film. That said will jump into how the fantastic beasts film is ?
Frankly the story line is very thin like wizard world to be unknown to general public and they also must capture the beasts .Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamanderwants to rescue these beasts and wants to educate the same to his fellow wizards .Colin Farrell as Percival Graves is a director of magical security who wants to control Credence a mystical dark force for his own gain.Katherine Waterston as Tina who is a former employee of wizard law accompanies Newt in his adventures with her sister and a Non wizard .
As stated above the story is pretty simple but the twist in the end is really good and definitely a great choice and will help in future sequels .The direction is pretty neat and every scene is executed perfectly with no confusion inn screenplay
The CGI work definitely improved to the technology but we won’t completely see the wizard world like harrypotter movies because most of the story revolves in human world which is good because it is new. The magical congress of US is a good concept and new where there will be a law to wizard worlds and movies shown importance to it
Coming to performances everyone shined in their roes and climax battle is neat.A lot of humor is there and movie did good job as a children friendly movie and adults also will be engaged to story
Finally I think movie nice and there lots of scope for great sequels and I will give a solid 7 for movie
