It’s 60 years for L.V Prasad’s ‘Missamma’. The film starring thespians, N T Rama Rao, Akkineni Nageshwara Rao, S V Ranga Rao, Savithri, Jamuna, Relangi Venkataramaiah and Ramana Reddy, released on 12 th January 1955, Produced by B Nagi reddy under vijaya vahuni banner. This ensemble cast film is considered as one of the ever green classics of indian cinema. The captain of the ship handled the family drama, comedy and little bit of suspese in a right mix. Pingali Nagendra Rao penned story, which revolves around Two unemployed college graduates from Madras, Rao and Mary act as if they are a married couple to get a job as school teachers in a small village called Appapuram. The story unfolds into an extremely hilarious comedy as they try to cover up that Mary is a christian. They are assisted in their drama by Devaiah-a friend and ex-beggar in fooling the family they work for. Saluri Rajeshwararao composed music is unforgettable. Marcus Bartley handled the camera brillaintly. This ever green classic is like an antique piece for the aspiring film makers.
